The Lord-Lieutenant’s engagements of late have been a blend of celebration, community outreach and recognition. March welcomed the start of Spring, longer days and new opportunities. Here is a round up of the Lord-Lieutenant’s engagements so far this Spring:
, The Lord-Lieutenant was honoured to officially open the fantastic new facilities at the Kingsway Army Reserve Centre in Derby.
, A brilliant day with the CCF at Mount St Mary’s School in Spinkhill. So many exciting opportunities for the wonderful cadets.
, A joyful service in beautiful Youlgrave Church as we waved off the walkers including the High Sheriff on the Pommie Pilgrimage to English cathedrals.
, The Vice Lord-Lieutenant colonel John Wilson attended All Saint’s church in Hatton to celebrate the upgrading of the church to a parish centre of worship and mounted Hatton’s World War memorial plaque.
, A marvellous service with glorious music in St. Lawrence Church, Whitwell, to recognise the civic service of the Chairman Councillor Tom Munro.
